I have a 2014 Quad Cab. Under the rear seats there are 2 electrical connectors, with nothing connected to them. (One on each side of the truck.)

What are these for?

If you post a picture I can provide a better answer. But my guess is that they're for the LED lights that are on some trim levels.

The Sports and Laramies have LED lights under the rear seats. I didn't know all the trucks have them. If you hit yours with a voltmeter and you get voltage, I could make some LEDs that would plug in.

Oh, interesting. That doesn't look like anything I would need. But maybe I can think of some other place that some lights would be cool to plug in there.

Very cool. I wondered what that was myself.

That's what I was thinking. I don't think it's worth the trouble of tearing your seat apart to wire. But you could probably hook it up to another LED.

I have the same thing but I have a male connector with 5-6 wires connector to that females piece in the pic. I don't have lighting underneath the seats or rear heated seats. I think the female end on my truck is just a dust cap. I'll have to look again.

Jeepguy_1980, I'd be very interested if you could rig an OEM style kit up....

Looking at the pictures posted, I don't see any wires. The connector shown in the pictures is the seat side and not the vehicle side. So there isn't much I can do to help him.

If you send me your VIN I can get a better idea of what you have going on. Also, I'd like to see a picture of your harness. Specifically the wire colors.

And the female connector the plug goes into. I'm assuming its a dust cap?

How it looks connected. Mind you. No heated seats. No underseat lighting.

Jeepguy, Sent it again....

Also I was experimenting the other day, and the harness does have power which powers on/off with the dome lights. The harness is mainly used for the heating element for the seats..
