Thanks for the post!! Very much appreciated.
Actually ended up leaving the clear plastic lens off due to clearance and everything works great (1000% better than the flickering stock leds). Used the Philips bright white led bulbs from Amazon.

How do you get the console down? I feel like I'm going to break something.

Thanks so much for this information. I just completed this fix in about 45 minutes on my Longhorn, and I have no mechanical skills at all. I was a bit scary at times, but all the OP’s steps walked me right through it.

Upon initial testing, I of course had both bulbs in backwards!!!

Anyone figure out how to do the rear dome in a sport with factory led? It's just as yellowish as the front map lights. I've changed those out and million times better.

Props to RAM MAN for the write up. I just did this mod as I was having the same issues with my MAP lights not working and half strength. Took me 20-25 minutes start to finish. I did end up removing the clear diffuser that had a bubble someone else showed a picture of as it wouldnt let the chrome reflector fit flush. But because the reflector is still there, the 2 little yellow dots for the LED's are hardly noticeable. Definitely a worthy quick fix. I have tons of light now

Good post. For those interested this is how you can convert to the non-LED reflector too. They are identical except for the pieces mentioned in this how to.

I have a spare parts overhead console with the non-LED reflectors (cone shaped) if you want them. You can have them for free if you pay shipping or live in the St. Louis area...

Hello.
Do you still have the cone shaped reflectors?
Thank you.

Here's are some pics of what I have left. The homelink module pictured is 2009-2012 only.

Another thread reported that the LEDs work fine unless the ignition is off and the doors are closed. Here's what they found:

Summary:
Key Off, Door Open: Works
Key On, Door Open: Works
Truck Running, Door Open: Works
Key On, Door Closed, Map Light Clicked: Works
Truck Running, Door Closed, Map Light Clicked: Works
Key OFF, Door Closed, Map Lights Clicked: DO NOT WORK

Can someone who's done this fix confirm that this happens or not?

Does anyone have the actual part # for the 194 bulb from Superbright that they are using in the overhead LED map lights ? Superbright has several 194 LED's.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Ram Man, just changed out per your instructions with Sylvania 194 LED bought from Walmart. No more flicker and much brighter for $14. I didn’t bother to heat the tabs back up, the clear plastic bezel seems to hold them in place. I’ll find some small screws/washer if they end up dislodging or rattling.
