How do you remove the air vents?

I'm giving in and I'm gonna try painting all of the silver black.

How do you remove the trim around the air vents on the driver and passenger side so I can paint them?

Any other tips or tricks would be great as far as prepping painting and removal goes.

Since I don't have a trim removal tool, what would be the next best thing? And I assume they pop right off of the dash?

go get a trim removal tool.

Trust me, it will do the trick......and not f up your dash.

they pop out, sure - but they are in there tight.

Trim removal tool will be your best friend. A flat head will leave marks on the dash and the trim you try to remove.
