Does anybody have any experience adding aftermarket heated seats? I am looking at the Clazzio setup. They seem to be pretty popular around here.

But I want to add the heated seat option. I have a 2014 1500 with the jump seat.

I am curious if anybody has any experience with mounting the switches?

I think I want to go with the dual 5-position switches, like this:

I'm trying to figure out how I would mount them. Will they fit into any of the blank switch spots in my dash? Will I have to do modifications to make them fit? Does there exist a kit to make them fit?

Not sure what trim your truck is but I put mine on the dash below the cubby to the right of the radio.

I just cut out some holes and put them in there. I wired them to the 12v outlet on the left side.

Looks good, why not put under shifter since I assume you have a 4 X 2?

You aren't replying to me, but I will mount mine on the passenger side, because my wife will be turning them on way more often than I will.

If you have 4 X 2 why not yours on your side and your wife's on the other? I know Katakin mounts in the base of the seat on the side

The area under the cubby is a flat panel. The area under the shifter has a bunch of supports and bracing that would have to be cleaned out to get to the front panel. It was a question of feasability. Also I am 6' 5" so it's not a problem to reach them for me.

Not sure if you were asking me or somebody else.

No, I have not hooked up the heated seats. I'm nervous about cutting holes in the dash, and it has been warm enough here that I didn't need them.

But winter has arrived in Southern California and the wife is complaining, so I hope to hook them up soon.
