Does anyone know of any options for a lock box to mount under the drivers seat? Several companies make the under seat drawers for jeeps, but I am yet to find anything for rams.

Looking for an alternative to the "console vault", to lock up handgun when I have to leave it in the truck.

Would prefer to have it accessible while seated in the drivers seat.
Don't like the idea of having to get out to take off and lock up the gun. Being able to un-holster and lockup the gun from the drivers seat lessens the chance of "exposing" the gun.
If I didn't use the center console for so much other stuff, I'd just get a console vault, but I can't give up that space.

You can also buy a lock box with the cable that you wrap around seat mounts. I use one, it's not the most secure thing in the world but it's inexpensive and easy to use. For me it makes sense bc I don't leave my gun in the car very often, in expensive, can move from car to car to hotel room etc.
like I said they aren't the most secure thing in the world BUT they work and I try to keep my firearm on me where I can get to it in event of emergency

The vault still leaves a fair bit of space on top. Why not put in the console vault and put the other stuff in a bag/box under the seat?
