Max volume + base, rattling doors...ALPINE

So on my ram i got the alpine upgrade ...when i max it all out and listen to semi deep based music all my damn doors are rattling..i have to push my hands against my driver side door for it to stop....all 4 are doing it..dealership cant replicate the problem..WTF.

like i said when i put pressure on the door panels they go away lol....pathetic.

I feel your pain, the doors would have benefited from more sound insulation. I noticed that most of my rattling was coming from the rear doors, after decreasing the output to the rears it seemed to help significantly.

Sooo...you turned your volume all the way up, and the doors rattle. What were you expecting the dealership to do, change the laws of physics? If you wanna listen to your music that loud with no rattling, you're gonna have to spend some money on some dynomat or other sound deadening material.

well my other ram never had this issue

its why im posting about it. I don't remember the dealership telling me...HEY! before you buy this..just a tip! if you max your volume your doors are going to F'N rattle!

doesn't seem correct..the fact that i can push my hand on the panel and the rattling stops..seems like a manufacturing issue.

Use some closed cell foam behind the door panels. I used foam from packages that were delivered. Works pretty good...

Adding some deadening will absolutely help. Also secure any loose wires and check the window/handle hardware for rattles.

i always try to fixes simple. lower the volume and use less base.

I took the door panel off that was rattling and used some liquid electrical tape that I had lying around all over the place. Hasnt rattled sense.

If you have the dash rattle on the other hand... I went to a fabric store, bought $5 worth of 3" foam, took glove box out, and put the foam between the ac ducts throughout the dash (that you can reach with your arm). All rattles gone for about $8

Another great use of liquid electrical tape. I just recently found this stuff and it's great for lots of things...

truck comes with a subwoofer, owner turns up the bass and volume all the way and **** rattles. who would have thought.... :shrug:
