Newsflash for those upgrading 5.0 to 8.4

You don't need a different dash bezel.

I put the original bezel on the 8.4 and it fit, it was tight, but it fit.

The connections on the back of the 8.4 swapped right over. All I had to do was flip the main connector 180 degrees and the others are color coded.
The dealership got me an unlock code for my stereo.
Parts manager just put in the serial number into his computer and my VIN and 5 seconds later I had my unlock code. He didn't even charge me for the service. He said he'd never tried for a customer who was swapping before, he'd just done ones for the service dept. when they needed.

Where did you find a radio for $170!? That's a smokin deal. I only see them for about $6-700

Yeah I got mine from a shop in Iowa.
Those ones from Highway Auto Parts in Michigan are extremely low mileage units.
They bought 3 factory test trucks to salvage out. Two were under 500 miles and one was around 1400 miles.
If you need any other parts for our trucks give them a call and get Kevin on extension 203. Tell him Brian Barham gave you his contact information. (won't help on price but I told him I'd spread the word about the trucks) He will treat you right. I've gotten some rear door panels from him as well and they were priced lower than other even with shipping added in.

Your dash and options look exactly like mine.

Got a few questions. Did u have stock xm radio.....does it work?
Did you have stock steering controls......do they work?
Did you have Bluetooth and usb......does it all work?

Also since you have std manual a/c controls like mine.....does any of the 8.4a onscreen controls for climate work?
Do u have remote start?
