After reading many posts about the interior console- I decided to paint it black;
removed the trim and used black paint, although I may re-do it with better paint, but I am really liking it:

Nice! Is that a satin or matte paint? I like the look, and probably will cut down on the multiple lit sun reflections that gloss paint makes.

Looks good to me! I've never liked my poop brown ones, but I REALLY didn't like the silver with the 4 million other colors Dodge put in the interiors. *sigh*

Can you share what paint you used and how you prepped it/if you prepped it? How many coats? I want to do this to mine - the silver sucks.

thanks for the positive reinforcement.

I used: Automotive Touch Up Adhesion promoter on one piece then Krylon BBS and Stove BBQ black. The other piece, by the shifter, just the Krylon.

I know, it's all I had, but i like the flat black look on these two pieces, since it cuts the glare way down.

I want to do this to mine badly. And find some way to rip that khaki colored garbage out and paint it flat black as well!

Really what are they thinking when they pick these colors. Khaki with black and sandstone inserts. Just make it all black don't try to classy it up. Less is more.
