What is everyone using to protect the painted sill plate portion of the doors?

The area that gets scuffed by work, kids & wives.

AVS makes a plastic one that had a diamond plate look to it, but it won't fit the newer model Rams. They only sell as universal fit one now that has to be cut to size.

It seem most people just put black or 3M clear paint protection film there. I'm leaning towards the 3M PPF, but found this product on Ebay that looks pretty good. Has anyone tried this out or know of any other good options?

I used clear film over the edge onto the exposed rocker because that is where the most wear will occur. I could see that edge being scuffed up in a short time. Did all 4 doors. I like that plastic cover for the rest of the sill.

Those look good, but that's not the official logo. That would honestly bother me.

I'm wondering what the install on these is like? Are they a ***** to get straight and bubble free? It would annoy the crap out of me if I couldn't get it looking right...

They are not bad to install, a squirt bottle with soapy water and spray the area good will give you time to place the guard and move it into location, the smooth them out.
put mine on last winter and they stuck good.

cheap, look good and work well. got mime off ebay.

I installed these vinyl sill paint protectors, and they look and work great.
I put those same eBay ones on too and love them ... http://www.ebay.com/itm/182642354857

Fairly simple install, just a bit of patience. They are a semi sticky vinyl that you apply with a soap solution and push the bubbles out but hand.
I used an old spray bottle w/dish soap and paper towels. Sprayed them while peeling off the backing, speakers the sill, applied/positioned, then pushed the bubbles or with a towel.
