This is what I have. I got the black sill covers off from eBay. Under those (cannot see it in this pic), on the black paint (truck is two toned), I put clear 3M Pro tape. The stainless steel "RAM" ones came on the truck.

Put the ebay ones on today. Look decent, and should protect better than having nothing there. Im not the best at applying vinyl so I had some crease/bubble issues. Hard to see the stripes, and the "RAM", on my dark max steel paint. Overall about 30 min install. Still worth the 20 odd bucks.

Mine just arrived, after you place them on the sill do you have to leave the door open for a certain amount of time to dry?

No I used a little glass cleaner, squeegee and closed door.

Put mine on this morning, look great, just need to be patient and work all the bubbles out and they come out really nice!

I'd say it's worth it because I paid $275 to repaint the driver door sill area due to the previous owner.

Has anyone tried using roll-on or spray-on bed liner for sill protection? Was contemplating doing that this spring. Seems to me that it would be very durable.

not just a sticker, made of very thick material, almost like a plastic shield.

Bought them a while back, I dont remember, but I'm sure you can find them on Ebay.About $24.00, well worth it.I did mine in the Florida sun and took time to work out the bubbles, came out real nice and keeps my silver sills scratch and scuff free.

I just ordered a set. We'll see if I can put them on straight and get all the bubbles out. If not at least they're vinyl so they won't damage the paint peeling them off. Joeygster should be getting a cut for all these sales he just made.
