A few pics of my newest project. This Express is exactly what I wanted; Hemi, 4x4, quad cab, painted bumpers, back-up camera, 20" chrome wheels and factory bed liner. But the interior is severely lacking, IMO. I will be getting some Clazzio leather seats covers eventually but in the meantime this is what I am doing:

Using DupliColor Vinyl and Fabric Paint. Works awesome. Not sure how I want them to end up, though. How should I finish them off? FYI, the truck is bright white.

So....

1) All black
2) Black sides and factory grey center
3) Black sides and painted white center

My vote is option 4, black cneter to hide the dirt and match the headrests.
Leave the sides and back the original color to match the carpet aind door inserts.

You are one crazy guy! Painting the seats in a '13! I was just happy they were all one color unlike my '11 Express seats. BARF!

That being said, I think you'd regret ever putting white on seats.
Even the light grey is somewhat hard to keep clean.

Ha ha, yeah I guess I am crazy. I mod all my stuff, new or old. That is a good point about the white. I'm going to get white leather inserts with black seats when I go Clazzio but I'm starting to think white cloth is not a good idea.

My vote is black on the bolsters and leave the center alone.

That's kind of where I'm leaning now. Worst case, I don't like it and paint the center to go all black.

My doors and carpet are all black. My dash and center fold down armrest cupholder thingy is gray so I think it would look good whether I blacked them out or left some gray. Still undecided. Just hoping blue painters tape sticks well on the seats.

Okay, so match middle of the seats with doors, floor and headrest. Leave outter edges light grey for contrast. :Whoa:

Wow. Sweet! I say black sides, center leave be. I like two-tone like that. Just my personal preference.

That being said, i love my dark gray seats in my express. Minus the fact they are cloth.

Just finished seat number one. Really happy with how it turned out. Blue painters tape was a PITA to stay put but did its job. Ignore messy garage. Doing some home remodeling.

Wow. That looks really good!

Thanks! Yeah, thankfully it came out ok. Had a little overspray in some small areas where the painters tape came up a little but I was able to rub it off.

I don't know that I could have done that to a brand new truck,
but it does look really good.
Good Job.

I've got to admit I never thought about your painting the seats idea. It looks good, don't forget to throw some pics up with everything in the cab.

Very cool.

Same here. Great job though, it looks good!

Thanks, guys. I tell my buddies and show them pics and the common reaction is, "I had know idea you could do that". I knew I was gonna get leather seat covers anyway so if I screwed it up that just meant I had a good excuse to get them sooner :Big Laugh:

Will do! I had to touch up the first seat but going to put it back in tomorrow and get started on drivers seat.

I'm curious as to how well it holds up. Will it start to wear off fairly quickly with use?

I think it will hold up well but only time will tell. The few reviews I read were very positive.

That's slick man. If that paint can hold up on a seat, it will be what I paint anything else vinyl or plastic with. I may even strip my dash and redo it with that stuff. Let us know how it holds up, I'm really curious. Great job on the seats, they look awesome!
