Mine does the same thing when it's cold, having said that my brake release lever in the cab broke yesterday and it's going into the dealer to get fixed. It looks pretty flimsy to me, bad design. Pictures are not that great.

Your post actually is what made me find this thread again to follow up!

My pedal started sticking to the floor. I greased the
Wratchet on the pedal assembly and it Springs right to top. It still does not come up the last half inch. I think this is caused by loose cable. One of my rear cables has a broken cable sheathing. Nit sure if it matters if sheathing breaks. Very hard to find info on this. This thread for example basically has no useful info. Oh yeah, ice can cause these types of problems

Star adjuster is self adjusting. Nobody heard if a ****** tensioner????!

My 2002 star adjuster does not seem to be self adjusting. You would have to remove plug in brake plate and turn star with screwdriver.
