Weird rattling noise coming from what seems like driver side behind the dash. Only happens when going 50+mph. Used to be a mild annoyance kinda like a chirping sound. Now it's extremely bad, so now I know something is definitely not right.

I have that same "chirp". Mine seems to be down by the kick panel.
Have you ever run any wiring through your clutch delete plate?

No, I haven't. I'm planning on taking it to the dealer or a mechanic shop to hopefully see if they can figure out the source because I've looked everywhere and I can't figure it out. I don't think it's anything loose because it only happens when driving it higher speeds. The noise also gets louder when I press on the brake at higher speeds. I'm thinking it's something wrong with the brake system.

I had the same noise and was about to take mine in as well, but I couldn't always duplicate it. So, I stuck my head under the steering column with a pack of zip ties thinking I was going to tie any and every loose wire, and the only cable I could see zip tying up was the one connected to the hood release. Attached is a picture where I zip tied. Three months later, no rattle. Hope this helps and best of luck.

I'll try that. How does that cable cause rattle noise though?

The reason i asked about the delete plate is because i have run drilled a hole in it. I thought noise could be something coming through the hole from the engine compartment. I am going to try the hood release cable. Fingers crossed.

Honestly, not sure. Just a guess, maybe the squeak is further up the cable going through the firewall and the zip tie stabilizes it?

Zip tying that cable didn't help unfortunately. I wouldn't mind if it was quiet but this is really loud as you can hear in the video. Does the fact that it ONLY happens at 50+ mph mean anything? It's the weirdest thing, I can drive 45mph and there's nothing. But the instant I hit 50 the annoying loud rattling happens.

I have the same rattle. My best guess is it's from the cover behind the rear view mirror. The wife says it's loud when on the phone over Bluetooth.

Does yours also happen only at 50+mph speeds?

I'm going to take the truck to the dealer this weekend. Still under warranty. I've tried looking more on google to see what else I could find, except this time I expanded my search to other vehicles also. Someone with a Jeep Wrangler had similar issues at 30+mph and the dealer replaced the axle shaft and the noise was gone.

Since the chirping only seems to happen at 50+ mph, I'm sure it can't be anything like loose cables. Those would be heard at any speed. But it's funny you mention bluetooth though because the sound almost does sound electronic in nature... something like the sound that radio interference makes. Hm.

I have this exact same sound; but it only appeared after getting my new set of tires in October. It only happens between 54 and 62 MPH in my truck.

Did you put in the tires yourself or did you have a shop do it? If it was a shop, I'd take it back and have them take a look at it.

Mine actually didn't start popping up until I had Firestone do a free inspection on my brake system and suspension system. Not sure if it's related because it wasn't noticeable right away, and it gradually got worse, but that's the last time anything was done to my truck before this noise started.

My Ram dealer put my tires on, and I forwarded the service manager a link to your video for their thoughts.

Thanks, I appreciate that.

I made a service appointment at the nearest Dodge dealership, but the next available isn't until Wednesday next week. Guess I'll have to wait and see..

Have you looked at the thicker gauge black wire that runs from firewall to the parking brake? Mine was resting on what looks like a heat sink fan that might be the cause. Not sure yet since I just looked at it.
