I just dropped off my 2015 Ram Hemi Sport Crew Cab at the dealer Stoneridge in Pleasanton,.ca this past Monday. We had heavy rains a few days before, and the storage compartments under my rear driver side were flooded. Headliner and rear Seats soaked. The dealer said it was the third light and they would dry, and disinfect seats and carpet. He also told me the foam under the carpet is resistant to mold. Today is Wed and I called the dealer and they told me they replaced the 3rd light, and that it was still leaking. They said the rear window was leaking and that their 3rd party glass vendor was going to come to check it out and advise if the rear windows needed to be replaced or not. So I am going to call them tomorrow to see what the verdict is. The truck is a little over a year old, and only has 18K miles. I'm worried that this is going to be a re occurring problem. They say they don't replace the seats our carpeting...I'm concerned about mold and they said not enough time lapsed to allow mold to manifest. What do you guys think?

Google is your friend.

Keep all warranty work receipts and if the problem is fixed multiple times and the problem remains, lemon law it.

You can also reach out to RamCares.
Thank you!

The third brake light is an easy fix, I did mine and many guys followed. Stupid to replace the light when it is the gasket. I could fix it in 5 minutes if your near sonoma county. If the problem persists and you want to know about CA lemon law let me now, I won a lemon law case against CA. it is kinda simple, if they fail to fix your problem in 4 attempts within first 18 mos, you win.

Here's my thread on the issue. It is horrible Ram is still using those gaskets. See the difference, look at the gasket that fixes this. I had the same thing, back filled with water and ruined some important stuff.

Notice the cut, you make a long rectangular U pastern, then go back and put a small straight line cut. 2 piece cut.

All 3rd beak lights leek in time. The first thing I do with any truck is put silicon on them from day one. Why what for them to leek when you can fix the problem before it starts.

My concern is not the 3rd brake light. My bigger concern is the rear window leak, and whether they will be able to fix that. Hearing its a huge problem in these trucks...google it.

Probably got all your rubber seals baked by that NorCal summer sun.

I bet the window track seals are deteriorated.

The ram 1500 has a warranty on the rear window, specifically the rear window. Being that far out of the one year is useless unless you can show them you complained about it within that single year, did you?

The warranty on that window lasts a single year.

Click on that user name "ramcares" and it should give you a drop down called "Send a private message" or something like that.

What a nightmare this has been for me. My truck has been there since Monday. No calls from dealer. They said they had a glass company come out to reseal the power rear window. I go to pick up my truck and the carpet is detached, clips are missing, cables are hanging out....and they said it was done???? I left the truck there and an going back tomorrow to talk to dealer. I talked to ramcares, but honestly I don't feel like they do because nothing had happened. Time to take legal action.

I love this truck, but sad case of a known problem with these trucks and Chrysler doesn't do anything about it. The mold smell was aparent. It's a health problem.

does the leaking 3rd light seal apply to a '16 2500 ? had some water dripping from the front head liner near the windshield after a horrible rain storm. figured the sunroof drain pipes were clogged and got over whelmed. never noticed any water at the rear of the headliner by the 3rd light. but if the 3rd light is prone to leaking on all the rams I may as well seal mine properly now before I get bigger problems
