warranty

The ram 1500 has a warranty on the rear window, specifically the rear window. Being that far out of the one year is useless unless you can show them you complained about it within that single year, did you?

The warranty on that window lasts a single year.

the one year warranty is for adjustments the rest of the vehicle except for brake pads are covered for 3 years including light bulbs

does the leaking 3rd light seal apply to a '16 2500 ? had some water dripping from the front head liner near the windshield after a horrible rain storm. figured the sunroof drain pipes were clogged and got over whelmed. never noticed any water at the rear of the headliner by the 3rd light. but if the 3rd light is prone to leaking on all the rams I may as well seal mine properly now before I get bigger problems

Where are the sunroof drain pipes?

Yeah it's definitely awesome that guys like Burla take the time to post up these kinds of easy DIY fixes so we can fix things ourselves and save a ton of money. All the credit goes to Burla for the third brake light fix, I used this fix back when I had my 2011 RAM, and I've done the same thing to my 2016.

From what I have seen the light bulbs heat up and dry out the seal as well. I wonder if putting led bulbs in will help with the heat.

My first leak was the spot welds.
My second leak was the third brake light.
My third leak was the rear window.

That sucks man!!! Defiantly replace that cheap oem brake light gasket....I just ordered some of the same stuff and did mine last month....my 2013'oem gasket was beginning to deteriorate as well.....was filled up with dirt and pollen and debris....I cleaned up with alcohol and applied new thicker gasket....sealed up nice!!!!

I'm waiting to see how this ended up being resolved still.

OP, what's the final verdict?
