Hey everyone,

I've been having this issue since I purchased my Ram a year ago. Every time I start up the truck or change the direction of the airflow for my climate control, there is this loud grinding noise. My dealer claims the noise is from the vents closing and not out of the ordinary. This particular noise is quite loud. I had a 2014 Ram 1500 with no problems like this. I don't want to waste my time telling the dealer about it when they don't do anything about it. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi RAM16BB,

If you aren't satisfied with your dealership's diagnosis you can visit another dealership in your area for a second opinion. You can locate dealership near you by entering your zip code here: https://www.ramtrucks.com/en/find-dealer/. You could also ask them if they have a similar vehicle on their lot that you could compare the noise you're experiencing to. Feel free to PM our page with any additional questions or concerns!

Andrea will take care of you. She was a great help for me.

With that said, in NY there is a provision in the Lemon Law called "Refusal to Repair". I won't get into the details since I do not know what State you're in and, like I said, Andrea will help you out for sure.
