ram emblem on steering wheel/removal?

I have a 2014 1500 and the ram emblem on the steering wheel is chrome. I want to plasti dip it to get rid of the glare.

Is there a way to remove it? Figure it would be easier to paint it off the wheel than on.

The emblem is riveted to the air bag cover.
Effectively, it can be pulled off with enough effort.

It's riveted in place so that when the air-bag deploys the emblem doesn't become a projectile.
Not sold that removing it is really a brilliant idea.

I haven't had the badge on my Ram off yet, but here is a good walk through explaining it on the Challenger. With the rivets mentioned above, I bet it's very similar.
