Curious if anyone has done this. In the military, red light at night is the standard as it doesn't carry as far as white light and it is much more sensitive to your eyes natural night vision. For hunting purposes, this could be beneficial. If anyone has done it, how does it look with the relatively blueish dash display? Enough interior light? Anyone done all blue? Thanks in advance.

I did this in a 2006 300C that I had years ago just because red is my favorite color. I loved it and it was great for the night vision as you stated. It was ample light as well. Contemplating doing it again.

Nice, got any pics? I got some Jeep under dash courtesy lights and two red LED bulbs on the way, so I'm gunna start there.

Right on, think I'm gunna do it. Still waiting on the red LEDs for my footwells to come in, but I'll also try them in the map lights. Do you have any pics of your interior lit up?

Hmm, now that would be pretty rad, not too familiar with a vehicle this new. Is the cluster a panel of lights behind the dash display or a plug and play card type thing? I can't say I've ever seen a Ram SSV in person, any idea on what a cluster would cost and how easy it'd be to acquire?

I used red Lamin-X on the factory LED housing on just the map lights. The dome light is an ultra bright white LED board.

This is the info on swapping the entire assembly.

Typical source is someone upgrading to the cluster with the larger display or from a wrecker.

Thanks for the info/link Tim!

Got the red LEDs for the footwell lights and I'm kinda underwhelmed. Nowhere near as bright as your strips Maize. May end up just using them in the map lights. Did you just cut the OEM plug off or did you find ones with the same connection?

I'll take some pics when its dark out.

I had done $20 of LED strips from AutoZone, provided nice lighting but had trouble keeping the passenger side mounted since the only place I could really stick them to there was the bottom of the glove box that my fiancé opens and closes almost every time she gets in the truck.

Hard to see bc it was still daylight outside but I can't find any nighttime shots

Been awhile since I saw this thread come back up...
To.answer a question asked of me back in April (sorry I'm a little late lol) I cut the end of the OEM harness and just tied in the led strips

Mopar sells the bulbs for the footwell lights, but only in white... least when I did this mod... 10" led strips might be the way to go for you.... very easy mod

I put ice blue led boards in the map lights and rear dome. I'm thinking about swapping them out for a more white light or possibly red. I put red led strip lighting in the bed.

I bought opt7 aura kit for my interior. Kit seems well made, and I'm enjoying it.
