of course not all of the buttons is working on the front of the steering wheel since 2010 had only 4 usable buttons, the radio controls are working same way, the way i did it on the left side i have up and down functions and on the right side i have on/off for enter and cancel for exit and the rest of the buttons is just there but not operational, cruise control stalk transferred from old steering and complete wiring inside steering wheel, heating works as well but i had it on the old steering whell as well. anyway like i said its doable but has some custom fabbing involved

sure i can guide you through basically you reuse complete 2010 steering wheel harness in 2014 steering wheel, left+right radio control have same connections so no mods here, left side front buttons have same four pin connector and will work only two buttons by default button with voice command and phone sign will work as up and down no mods here as well, cruise control is direct bolt on to 2014 steering wheel the only thing is needed is a small cut in back side plastic for the cruise control stalk to come out and the most trickiest part is right side front buttons as here is the LIN BUS module where 2010 is way different from 2014 so basically what i did is retrofitted 2010 right side button chip into 2014 button and alligned buttons that was the hardest part in the whole swap, and couple more remarks you have to cut one tab in 2014 steering wheel trim insert as its gonna interfere with cruise control stalk and one more right side front button wiring is a bit shorter so putting its all together takes a bit more patience

blue chip is 2010 green one is 2014

I want to try the opposite. I have a 2011 leather wheel I want to retrofit into my 2014 Express. I got the wheel cheap. So I was wondering if I could use the front plastic trim and my buttons and transfer them to the 2011 wheel.

So you couldn't just switch all the plastic trim and your buttons over to the new wheel?

will not work as 2009-2011 has only 2 buttons on each side and its totally different shape rather than 2013 and up
