Anyone spliced into factory seat heaters and fed direct hot/ground power
With relay and switch
Purchased drivers power seat that has heat in it figured I'd just isolate seat heater wires out switch and power them and see how it goes
Just wondering if they need resistors or any other odd things to make them work without burning seat bases up

They need something to regulate them. If you just hook up power without a controller, they're going to run full bore until they burn up.

They'll come with a controller either embedded in them or external. On the factory ones it's inside the CSWM under the driver's seat.

I have Metra kit no contoller only a relay and dash switches
Metra pads are way too big for factory seats and can't be cut down
So my leather guy put fac pads back in
Don't want go through hassle to oem hook them up as Rick did
But I assumed I could switch them when they got too warm turn them off!

Lost your number but rear corners were cut to short on left ends so he slit them pulled them over and resewed them
Front driver side had small scratch fairly deep in a fold
Prolly won't ever get worse
Did u buy them from katskinz with warranty

I never really looked at them that close. I bought them from cptwing, opened the box took a quick look at them and then put them right back in the box. I bought my Laramie seats a few days after I bought the covers from cptwing so the covers just sat on a shelf at my house until I sent them to you. I'm sorry if they were not as expected.

I bought them from a reputable vendor on EBAY and they have a 3 year KATZKIN warranty, the card was in the box. I also personally saw no defects, but these would likely not show until you try to install them. I am quite sure that Katzkin would make good under warranty an issues. Deereguy when I sent them to you did you see the warranty card in the box?
