shifter handle

i have a 2011 ram with the center console.
please inform me how to remove the handle from the shifter?
ive looked for set screws, even tried twisting it. but stopped doing that before i broke something.

im thinking about switching out to the chrome mopar "T" handle, but wanted to know the removal process before i made the purchase.

i truly appreciate it.

you have to stick a very small screwdriver between the handle and that little U shaped thing under it. push it down, the handle comes right off.

What JJ said.. I put a laramie longhorn shift knob in and all you have to is stick something (I used a knife) between the chrome plastic trim and the shift knob and separate the two. Mine needed some force but also be careful not to bend the plastic. Very easy. Takes 5 minutes

another quick question.
when looking for a new handle, some are made for the ram's and some are for the challenger/chargers. is there any difference between them?
i dont know the correct part# offhand, but wanted to see if anyone does know.

If you want a t handle dont buy it from mopar its way to much get it from these guys much better quality and cheaper

Couldt be easier to remove the shifter. Pull silver trim piece down. handle up. Done.

If I could post pics Id show you a nicely anodized BT Hemi shifter!

Does anyone know if any changes were made between 2011 and 2013? I want to purchase a leather shift knob but the one I found says it only fits 2013 Rams.
