my steering wheel is far out of center on my truck after plowing one storm. ONE. and im fairly disappointed in this. 2014 ram 2500 with 6.4... the clock position after the storm was pointing about 9 oclock. now, its closer to 7, counter clockwise, so its getting worse over the course of 3 days.. it did not happen as a consequence of plowing, as i didnt hit any curbs or islands, and dont do much plowing. i did notice it after the city plows went and made a few passes, it was like driving over a rumble strip on the highway, on main city streets. i have equal steering lock to lock, one and a half turns each way, and the truck tracks straight, no pull either way so the alignment seems fine. my question is where do i start? could it have jumped splines in the column? how about the steering box? i have never had this happen to any truck of mine, and ive never done any steering or suspension work to the truck yet so im looking for a starting point. i only bought the truck a month ago, but before i take it to the dealer i would like to know whats going on. i did research this, and im not the only one, but there was no definitive answer. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
