I am going to swap to the 8.4 screen soon, but only will do it if i can have the HVAC control that belong with this unit. I now have the three knobs base, but it does have 7 speed control knob. With that being said do I need anything special to have these control or can I just buy this unit and plug and play? I have seen article on the DIY for converting from 4 speed to 7 speed, so I'm a little confused.
