My 2500 had a Dr. appointment today and the dealer gave me a 1500 to use.

Da fuq is up with that shift knob rotating dial thing?

Still dont see the issue. All I know is my knob is backed up by a zf 8 speed. Stout trans who cares how you put in gear.

I guess wrapping your man hands around a 8 inch black shaft is manly to shift gears.

I love how so many hate the knob. It just puts the truck in gear. Anyway this always turns into some funny sh$t.

I'm so used to it now. Second nature. I don't have to look anymore to shift. I will say it did take a few weeks to get used to it.

I rest my hand on my gearshift. I can't get used to this.
I CAN get used to the insta-economy showing 25 mph at 60 mph. My 2500 says 11.

I hated it at first, love it now. Frees up space. Column shifter kind of gets in the way of the dash buttons. Previous f150 had a console shifter, that got in the way of beverages.

I've had the new truck for almost 2 months now and am still getting used to the "knob". Still prefer the console shifter in my old 2010. It was a place to rest your hand, easy swap out for a cool mod, and easier to downshift gears and lock out mds. However, I'm a pretty happy camper with the new 8 speed and will deal with the "knob" to have the 8.

40 years of driving cars...a month ago I get my 1st truck ever, 2014 1500 Hemi Crew. In about one minute I was absolutely hooked on the shifter knob. I love it. I'm a techie geek, and knobs are commonplace for me. I think I already forgot how to use a "real" shifter.

Even if I hated the knob I would still have it because the 8sp is that much better .
