Where did you buy the door? Mine is empty becuase anything i put in there loudly slides around or will fall out completely. A door would make this maybe more usefull or just like you said it will stop me from staring at it thinking about what to do with it lol

I bought this and run the cable to the frame of the seat. It fits perfect in the top portion of the center console. Obviously they could still get it but it's more of a cover my ass if anybody broke in.

I had the exact same one in my old truck. And agreed it is not the most secure but certainly a deterrent. The box itself seems fine and fit one of my my full frame 1911s and a spare mag but the cable was flimsy. I was too lazy to replace it but a thicker cable would go a long way imo

Took me a few hours before I noticed it was there too... I keep my Trinity, Kestrel Weather Station, and infrared heat gun in there. The bottom one has the lug key, a small flashlight, first aid stuff, a bungee, extra pack of smokes, lighters, etc.. I keep my insurance and registration in my manual booklet, and it sits in the lower cubby on the driver door. I can't figure out why the top has a light and no lock, and the bottom has a lock and no light. My binoculars are in the lower console, and I keep receipts and time slips in the top console.

Going to buy a locking insert for the center console in a few days...to keep my Glock 42 in. I also carry a small ASP Baton with me.

Gloves, a small first aid kit, a Leatherman tool, and a stuffed moose from my old truck that my wife hates lol. Keep a flashlight and a bunch of service records in the lower glove box.

Mine has my spare gloves, gum and occasionally when I am a passenger in my truck which is not frequent I put my pistol, handcuffs and badge there if on a long trip. My niece likes to keep her makeup there when she rides with me

I have a round tin of candy and some napkins in mine. There's so much storage in the cabin that I am planning on using it instead of a suitcase for my next road trip! If the center console had insulation and drains it would make for a nice sized cooler!

I do have an issue with the cup holders that are in the console though. Unless you have a super sized beverage you can almost lose a regular sized cup in them and not be able to get it out! Unlike many people I don't "super size" things as a rule.
