Hello,

I've got a 2011 ram 1500. The little light in the bottom right hand corner that flashes when the tires are spinning is stuck on and I can't seem to get it to turn off. Anyone had this issue or know how to fix it?? Thanks!

isn't traction control related to ABS? Maybe you should be checking your brakes, brake fluid.

Did you happen to get a solution to this? I am experiencing the same issue.

This ^....

Is your ABS light on?
I had an issue similar to this, was intermittent and fought it for awhile, replace wheel speed sensors, inspected reluctor rings, wiring etc etc... It wasn't till one day that I found a round plastic popsicle stick down by where it went into the backing plate on the right rear.... took it out and haven't had a problem since.....
So in others words might be something as simple as wire placement and is pulling or pinching as the susp. cycles

Hey NOcasio7,

Were you looking to work on this yourself or did you need to follow up with your Ram dealership for diagnosis?

I just called and made an appointment for Monday but in the interim, I will be trying to diagnose and see if it is anything obvious.

Ok-please let me know if there is anything I can assist with once you are at the dealership.

Mine doesn't like to come on. Maybe if we combined forces the two problems would cancel each other out...

My guess is wheel speed sensor. If there were a brake issue, ABS/Brake should be on. The sensors are generally impossible to diagnose visually unless you can see wire damage or a foreign object lodged somewhere like R/T_Fire says. A DTC scan will pinpoint it.

So it's not from red light to red light burnouts or winter snow and ice?

Hmm..I'd go with what everyone else said then.

So my light shut off and hasn't come back on but my cruise control button has been working intermittently. Yesterday it didn't work on the way home until half way and on the highway. Today coming into work, it did not work at all.

Good to know--please keep me (and everyone!) posted on your dealership visit on Monday. Send me a PM if you want me to step in as well while your vehicle is being serviced.

Wheel sensor or vacuum leak? Cruise is sometimes vac related in vehicles.

Since traction related my bet is wheel speed sensor.

Body control module is less likely otherwise more codes would be set off I think.

Does it stutter at idle or brakes seem weak? Then vacuum.

How would a vacuum leak keep the cruise from working? on a throttle by wire engine?

Vac sensor or microswitch voltage could be used to maintain speed. Was like that on chev cobalt I believe. Hit your brakes and it cancels right? Sensor on the brake booster detects vac increase, that along with brake switch.

Whether it's like that on ram I dunno. Figure they'd use tps or something.

If you have a Diablo hookup the laptop and watch some variables in real time

So i just got a call from the dealer, I was told that there was an update that may have affected the traction light issue but there was a service note on the update for something having to do with the cruise control so I am hoping this solved the problem. Will update in a week after driving it.... as long as i remember

Have them check your clock spring also. It it isn't reading the rotation of your wheel correctly it will affect the traction control and cruise. It will think that you are turning while you are not and when it doesn't detect different speeds for the wheels outside the turn vs inside it will decide you've lost traction and viola no cruise when the traction control is active.

I wonder what this button does?
