Anyone having issues with their rear defroster other than me? I have a 2016 2500 Laramie 6.4 with the rear window defrost and heated mirrors.

Today, when I was trying to activate the rear defrost feature while plowing snow, it would turn on and then turn off within 20-30 seconds. It would do this repeatedly and wouldn't stay activated. It's a huge PITA trying to plow snow without being able to look out the back window or use the side mirrors! Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Rear Defrost Issues

I also have an issue with my rear defroster. The drivers side stopped working so I took it to a Ram Dealer, they diagnosed that the heating element became “unglued” to the window. They replaced it only then did both the drivers side and center were not working.

Took the vehicle back for them to try a different adhesive, they re-attached both, said they both worked, the elements ARE glued/attached to the rear windows now. I tried the rear defrost after I got the vehicle home... STILL doesn’t work.

Seems that possibly a connection or fuse is not working rather than the elements not being attached.

Any suggestions?
