Upper glove box door. Great mod.

I removed my cubby hole and installed a Mopar glove box door kit like on the Laramie. Literally a 10 minute job. Makes a word of difference. I don't know why Ram wont just do this. I have doors on my cabinets and tool boxes.....

looks good. I've been debating on doing this on my 14 Express CC. Where did you buy the parts from. Any detailed instructions?

I don't know why Ram wont just do this.

They will if you buy the higher trim you get the upper glove box.
It's cheaper for them to put in the cubby and they want us to pay more to get more.

This is one I have been wanting to do for a while now, just cant find the whole thing at a junkyard, err Recyclers cheap enough. It looks like we have the same trim package.

Allmoparparts.com has them as kits for each trim package.

As my wife says, I am tighter than 2 coats of paint so a new one for $192 is a little too much for me! I did find one kit for $75 through a junkyard today, truck had 6000 miles on it.

I might not be brilliant but I did sleep at a holiday in express last night!

It says "HEMI". Got it on ebay for $10. Really sets it off.

I am not sure but the nice thing is you can hold a lot more and not worry about it falling out!

Do you lose a lot of "volume" space by switching to this, over the open "cubby hole"?

shouldn't lose anything really it just makes it looks cleaner. not having the door is also good if you want to be able to reach over and grab something without fooling around trying to open it so it really comes down to personal preference

Nice clean look.

Those pix look sweet! I'm probably going to do this....

Do I see a light in there too? How do you remove the existing "cubby hole" in order to see if I have a light harness nearby on my 2300? Would add that if I can plug it in (my wire-tapping skills are sketchy at best, try to avoid it unless absolutely necessary)
