I'm looking for a place to hide a small chinese gps tracker in a 1500 crew cab 4th gen. The thing is like 2"x2"x4"

Does anyone have any recommendations?

1) It would be good if I could get to it again in less than 5 minutes -- so ease of access. The $20 junk does freeze every few months.
2) If 12 volt is nearby somewhere, it would be a bonus.
3) I'd prefer it inside the cab, but it does not have to be.

what about under the center console? the tray in the middle is simple to remove or I believe there are thin rectangular access panels on each side above the side cubbies.

I will check this. this is a very good idea as there's battery +12v there to go to the console cig lighter, one of the few always on locations in the whole damn truck.

Keep in mind most GPS trackers won't read through metal I work at an used car dealer and we put them under the top dash panel near the windshield

Score on this. Stole the +12v from the wires going to the cig plug in the middle compartment.

So that's all u need, the gps, Sim card and prepaid service carrier.

How does it work? Is there an app or something that allows u to connect to it on ur phone or computer? Any pics of it on ur cell or something? Can it be followed like a gps if it gets stolen?
