I'll be getting the fronts tinted at 35% and the tinter uses Suntek and SolarGard films. Which do you recommend and why? It will most likely be a carbon series film. Thanks

SolarGard...better scratch coat by far.

I'm getting mine matched tomorrow with a visor strip and they said 20% is what they match factory with.

Also, not to hijack your thread, but how is Llumar tint? It's the ceramic lifetime warranty stuff.

The guy o get to do my windows ises 3m an 1 other type I'm unsure of. He did all my windows with 3m an I have never had any problems with it. My front two are currently at 5% an my back two doors an back windows have I do believe 25% over the factory tint which took it down to 5% so it is the same all they way around. I do have a 5% eyebrow also but I then got vinyl to match the color of my truck an put that on the outside.

It matches pretty well I can't see a noticeable difference. I would just tell whatever shop that does it that you want it matched. They'll know what percent matches for the tint they use.

Found out today that the tinter i had talked to actually uses flexfilm. I read reviews about the Teraflex line and am skeptical. Early reviews were good but recent reviews say over time it fades. Any opinions? I only want to do it once with a quality product. I'm open to suggestions. Thanks

Llumar Ceramic tint has a lifetime warranty, as long as it isn't your fault they'll replace it. Not sure what else is out there. I would be skeptical too. I've seen too many tinted windows looking purple because of ****** tint.

My guy said the factory tint is 18%, so 20% will be close enough that you can't tell the difference. I went with 35% so as not to get the attention of the police and to pass inspection, which can be an issue here in PA. He uses Llumar films and has for a long while. They hold up very well.

Decided on a shop that is going to install Llumar Formula One Pinnacle 35%. It's more expensive but everything I read about it says it is a high quality film. I only want to do it once.
