So I am going to get the 180 and I had a couple questions. I heard couple things. Are there any issues with CEL's after the swap? Should they be swapped back to the factory ones each winter? Also heard something about a small hole that one model has but not another model. Cat really remember exactly what it was. Can anyone shed any light on this for me? What would the part number be for a 2010 1500 from autozone?

No CEL problems.
The hole, if it has one, should be at 12 o'clock as air would bleed.
Winter time you would just not have as hot of heat depending how freezing it is outside.

Yep no CELs here either. And the bleeder hole needs to point to the 12 o'clock position.

This may be a stupid question but is there a specific model number gasket I'll need or will I even need one?

You can reuse the oem gasket. Replace if cracked, obviously.

So I'm relatively new to the mod world here, is there a guide one here of different things people are doing? I tried searching, but only found some of the bigger ones. Interested in the efan and thermostat

Nothing really. I will clear it, but it will come back a couple days later. Doesn't hurt the truck.

It's just the stupid PCM wondering why it's taking so long to get up to operating temp.

I popped in the Duralast 180 t-stat from Autozone (part# 4128) then set my cooling fans to 195 on the trinity. Sean from HF also looked over some logs and sent me a tweaked tune. Uploaded it and WOOSH! She gone! Still pulling a maximum of 4.00-4.50 KR but it's mostly under heavy load. So far so good. Will do some more logging this weekend and see if anything else needs to be tweaked.
