2012 1500 5.7L Hemi tuner help please.

I have opened up my 5.7L Hemi on top and on bottom now I need to add the computer mod. I hear there are chips and tuners. What are the differences? What is recommended for my truck? I have $300-$500 to spend on it. I am a mechanical layman and need something that is simple to install and use please.

I'm currently running a Volant CAI and Magnaflow 14" with 2.5" duel exhaust if that makes any difference.

Quite funny, I recall superchips used to have a poor name in the Mopar world.
If they ever make a tuner I'll be going the Diablo route for a custom tune at some point.

I really wish they'd get a tuner out for them already. The top speed limiter is really killing me. Poor poor Hemi...

I really want one too but am so tired of waiting. I'll still get a tuner when it becomes available but have given up thinking it will be anytime soon.

Actually there is a tuner for our 2012 Rams, Jet has it. It only produces up to 25 hp, but its better than nothing if you dont mind spending $275 plus S&H. It's a stage 2 for our trucks with CAI and exhaust installed. Dont ask a shop for it look it up on the internet its there.

Chips are crap, they're 275 dollar paper weights. You'll better off waiting for one of the programmers to finally crack the code and release a tuner.

Problem is the tuning companies won't release any kind of update regarding their progress. Hearing how Chrysler locked these computers down with rolling military encryptions, I'm not sure they will break them until Chrysler hands over the key.

To follow up on the Jet chip i described i dont fill a hp gain but more mpg not much though and my shifts are smoother

If you want to tune your 2011+ vehicle at the moment the only real solution is B&G tuning, 350$ for the PCM and another 350$ for the TCM which you have to send to them.

really expensive but they are the only ones doing it, they have a few 2012 SRT8's which they have tuned and have owners raving about them.

Jet chip is as much of a paperweight as a throttle body spacer. Only option is B&G tuning like stated above

You have the PCM flashed with a tuneable year and your warranty goes out the door. A tuner is awesome, but no way it's worth that risk to me.
