Okay so...maybe a total of 4-5 times the past month and today being the worst...turn the key and no noise, no lights...nothing. The first time-I turned it a few times and it turned on. It seems like now with each time it is taken longer and longer to start. Today it took 10 mins.

But again...there is zero life in the truck when I turn the starter. The key battery works cause it looks and unlocks the truck...

Any idea? Where I even begin???

I'd say it's a computer issue

Might be a bad battery, starter, relay, fuse, ground wire, ignition on column

These trucks are extremely sensitive to voltage- like 2 months ago a lady was at the gas station in her jeep- " like /2013 and newer.. it wouldn't start- I went to land her a hand... " I didn't have a volt meter or I would of checked the draw on the battery" but radio stayed on and lights where bright all positive signs of a good battery.. so after 10 mins of tinkering I said fck it- I'll throw a jump at it with my truck... sure as **** it fired right up. She literally got in it and drove for 2 mins to the gas station. Then pumped her gas and it wouldn't start. Other members here have had similar issues.

Check the connectors for being fully seated on the BCM .
It's located just forward of your Emergency brake .
When I installed my back up cam I had similar issues. ..in my case the C-5 connector labeled " E " was not fully seated .

My fear is that it is a computer issue considering that is what my gut is saying. I don't think it's the battery or starter...it ends up starting on it's own & you would have no clue that I was even turning the key if you weren't watching me.

Are computer issues common

Same thing happened to mine when a cell went bad in the battery. It acted like there was no battery at all, then for no reason it would power up. Did this a few times till it left me stranded. Changed the battery never happened again.
