my pump went out twice in the same month!!!!
each time the 20 amp fuse was blown
the first time it happened no warning what so ever fuse was blown and pump was getting power but not turning (i had the bed off testing it before i ordered a pump)
so i ordered a pump which cost an arm thinking maybe it was its time to go out (44,*** miles) without trying to see why the pump went out
new pump came in a few days later and got it replaced drove around town with my odb tool watching the LD everything looked good
two days after installing the brand new mopar pump i go out to start the truck and it would turn over but not start so i checked the fuse and its blown again!
got it swapped and turned the key to on without starting it and no sound came from the pump again!!!
anyone please help I'm already 600 bucks broke and a half day of labor behind on my truck with no ride to work on monday.......

Why is anyone paying for a fuel pump replacement? Shouldn't this be covered under the 5yr warranty? Since my 14 CC is leased I can tell u if this happens to be I won't be paying for it. Fuel pumps going out with less than 50k is crazy. I would drop the tank myself and swap the pump. As long as the tank is empty it shouldn't be too hard even just leaving it on the ground. I only got 12k on my 14 and how I drive I won't hit 50k for another 6yrs or more.

That's exactly what I said when I had my problem. It's covered under the 3 year/36,000 mile warranty. It's not part of the powertrain according to RAM/Chrysler

That's a load of crap. Manufactures are really trying to stick it to the people. 3yrs lol.... cuz that's almost nothing.

Fuel pumps have been 3/36 warranty for a long time. Nobody is trying to stick it to anybody.
The reality is vehicles have come a long way in the last 25 years, but the better they make them the more people expect.
Should a fuel pump last more than 3/36? sure. But anything that can fail, will fail.
I just had a customer complaining to me when a lifter failed on his Hemi with "only" 150K miles.
Not to many years ago 150K miles was normal rebuild time, or more likely new car time.

I got the fuel level sensor today at the dealership. I was told it is a separate part and it sure is. I have gotten 3 CEL and the gauge goes to empty and the miles left says low fuel. It will come back and the CEL goes out, works for about 1/2 hr then goes back to being broken again. I plan on changing it out either tomorrow or Sunday am. I ran the tank down to what should only be 2-3 gallons left in it. The part was $137.00 but they wanted $462 to drop the tank and change it. Sorry that ain't happening!

I paid $132 for my dealer to tell me the fuel senor failure on my 2014 Ram 1500 requires fuel pump replacement. They want $700 to replace it. Argh. I was expecting about 1/2 that.

I took this pic after a month of dealing with the dealer and them saying it just needed a flash....

No reason for a 2014 to need a fuel pump, and my truck never goes below half a tank

I ended up paying the dealer. Mileage was just under 50K.
