has anyone tryd the jet performace chip claims 40hp n don't need a programmer just plug n play I have a new 17 didn't know if it was worth getting

My experience with those chip sets was all they do is overfuel the engine to make more power. Sure, it's a cheap way to do it but it does have some drawbacks, mostly in the area of fouled plugs and cats.

the only performance your getting out of a jet chip is from your lighter wallet.

haven't used a jet product in 10 years but if it goes between the pcm and harness i wouldn't recommend.tried one on a 98 z28 and it blew a torque converter solinoid and allowed moisture between the chip and pcm and the car wouldn't run.removed it no more problems for 70000 miles.

Save your money for a REAL tuner. Jet products are junk from my experience. Tried a chip from them on my old 94' 5.2L ram and it shorted out and toasted my whole PCM.

Dont waste your money on the Jet Chip. Get a Diablo I2 w/ the PCM swap & get a Jay Greene tune. Well worth the money spent
