Does anyone know the exact year that Ram went from 30k to 100k plug changes. I've read 2014 was the changeover. I've also read where mid year 2013 trucks got the upgrade. I did my plugs about a month ago at 75k and they did not look bad at all. I know from talking to the only previous owner that the plugs i pulled had 40k or so on them. Is there a different coil pack part number for 13 and 14 that I can compare? My manual says 30k but they would have not reprinted new manuals halfway through a production year. My truck is a 2013 built June.
Thanks in advance.

The only 2013s I've heard of getting the 100k plug upgrades were some of the last (very late) 2013s. If your plugs are nickel units, they're the 30k plugs. If they are the iridium part numbers, they're the 100k plugs.

I have read repeatedly that the coil packs changed, to tolerate the iridium plugs. However, every part site I've ever used states the same part numbered coil packs for the Hemi, 2013-2015+.

That! ^

Stick with the 30K cooler cooper core plugs and your truck will love you. I always changed mine when MPG went south, which was just about 28K miles.
