800, or do it yourself.

If you just buy the dealer garbage right off the sheet, guys are paying a grand on up.

What is done at 30K service? I am approaching and actually think I will be there within the week.

The killer is the plugs, most trucks are 60k to 100k but Hemi is 30k, and there are 16 of them = half of the service cost. Rest of the stuff fluids and stuff, can be done in pieces imo. Do a tranny flush here, a gear oil change there. Coolant should be good til 60k plus, and if you put back certain fluids you can double the oil change interval for the next service.

i believe he has 100,000 mile plugs in his 14. all he has to do is look in his owners manual, and see what needs to be done. forget anything additional the dealer wants to do, would just be a money grab.

Ok this is crazy to me.
1. I thought life moved on from changing plugs so often like that
2. Thank you for bringing this to my attention!
3. Are all plugs exactly the same?
4. Thank you for bringing this to my attention
5. Do you know the locations or if there is a good write-up on how to do this?

I am at ~29800 miles and will be putting at least 2000 miles on it this next week or so. By the time I get to it, I will probably be closer to 40,000. She runs smooth and great currently but I will be sure to tackle this maintenance within the next few weeks.

I hope this is right. I am going to look in my manual as soon as I get in my truck. I have a 15 with the 5.7 and the 8 speed tranny.

I've been going off old info apparently. Been in this forum for a while it is always been between 800 and 1100 at the dealer, search there are many threads on this. However, maybe the 14's are different. Not that many have posted their 30k service yet. If you don't have to do your plugs, that would be a great benefit. Cut the cost in half.

Anyone know where I can get those 100k plugs, I don't think Moes has them. he only has one set and it looks like the ones he always had. I'll give anyone a cookie for a reward if you can get me a linky to the 100k Hemi spark plug.

Nevermind, it looks like you can't use them in older Rams. Just pay the 89 and get them from Moe's and stick with the 30k if you have a pre-14.

Wait the plugs on 14s are only good for 30k? I'm at 28 now and she runs great knock on wood haha

You can get the same mopar oem plugs for $65 on amazon. Can also get the plugs installed by a local mechanic for probably half the price of dealer.
