I have had issues before, but that was when I gernaded the trans and it was rebuild at the dealer about 4-6 months ago. Trans has never felt right since rebuild but is also under a 2 yr unlimited mile repair warranty through the dealer... Just want to make sure its nothing I caused before I go raise hell and demand it to be fixed.

Oh wow yeah that stinks. I'd do as you are planning and return it stock to see what happens before raising hell at the stealership lol. Good luck man.

Definitely remove the Tunner before going in for a warranty claim.
I wonder if the dealer can tell if a Tunner has been installed in the past ?
I'd bet the warranty would be void if they knew there was a tune installed ( even temporary ) regardless of how dissatisfied you were from the rebuild date

I just did a quick Google search of
" 2011 Ram Transmission problems "

Found many pages of issues with your particular issue being #1 on the list
Some guys just keep driving it , turn off , start back up and drive normal for a while , week , days , even a month Untill it happens again ....

Reported repairs were many . Valve body replacements , defected spring in the valve body , shift & pressure solenoids and transducers .... the list goes on & on .

How many total miles and how many mils since the rebuild ?

They cant tell a tuner was installed.

Its a 545rfe. Its got about 8k since rebuild.
This is the first time its done this. When i blew out the overdrive cluster is didnt do this. We will see, as for the dealer i will put it back to stock drive for a bit log some data and go from there. Oh and there was no CEL light. Just the stuck in 4th gear issue

The only "trace" of a tuner that's left behind is the number of times the PCM has been flashed. So theoretically if a bunch of tunes have been flashed they will see the PCM has been flashed a number of times when it should've been 0. Still only circumstancial tho...

I dont worry about it too much with this dealer, they are pretty mod friendly and i have had it in there with the diablo hooked up and no issues.

Why would your Diablo be hooked up ? Once the truck is programmed you throw it in a drawer and forget about it... lol...

I have the trinity 1000. Extra gauges.

Took the truck back to them to fix a trans pan leak and didnt have time to reset to stock. They didnt care.
