Occasionally when coming to a stop I feel ( not hear) a slight clunk from from floorpan area. I'm thinking it's alright. Just checking. It occurs sometimes when I'm almost at a stop. Perhaps drive line slack.

There's a whole thread about this issue. Search for "8 speed clunk". I think it's under the Tech Info area if I'm not mistaken.

Bottom line: a TCM flash has fixed it for a lot of people, but not everybody. If it's the same clunk many of us have, it's the tranny downshifting from 2nd to 1st too roughly and perhaps too early.

I'd hit up the dealer and take a tech for a little ride to demo the problem so they can't claim "could not reproduce".
