8HP70 Torque Management

Has anyone that has tunes done any work to the new 8 speeds as far as reducing or almost eliminating torque management for crisper shifts?? I love the 8 spd but OMG does it feel "squishy" when it shifts. I understand that these transmissions actually have a pretty quick shift for stock but because of the pulled timing, reduced throttle and whatever else that got thrown in for Tq management, it makes for a slush box style shifting and I hate it lol.

Thoughts?

Can't mess with the tranny tuning as of yet. Although my trans tuning hasn't been modified my truck sure shifts pretty well, especially compared to the 6 speed I used to have.

You cant tune the transmission, but the custom tuners can reduce tq management. Ive said it many times, but a custom tune needs to be the first mod everyone adds to their trucks. Its the single best bang for buck mod you can buy, and it will going to compliment any other mods you add in the future.

I'm not worried so much about shift points but just to reduce torque management. All my previous trucks minus the 545rfe truck I had all had trans go shift kits so you know that the stock 8spd shifting is a slouch compared to that.

So does anyone run reduced torque management on their setup and notice any improvement on shifting?

With my HF tune, if I manually shift from 1 to 2 near the red line it's brutal, but if I leave it to auto it's smooth. I also miss the firm shift I had in my Lexus Ls400 with the Transgo shift kit.
