8HP upgrades

Jay has actually put a effort in to not be so negative and has been contributing to threads. Instead of ruining more threads let some stuff go. I agree his attitude in previous threads was pretty *******. I want to see what Jay and Matt/sean come up with for cams,heads,Tc, and hopefully one of them breaks a 8 speed and have to try out a new upgraded One(J/K....)

Those 8 speeds appear to be pretty shout so far so we'll just have to wait and see what it takes to break one.

Kids. Jeez!! Grow up. 23 and acting 16. Come on dubstep. Let jay look bad on his own. You're the one looking like a fool. I've seen threads where Jay has inappropriately defended himself and stooped to your level. He seems to not be doing that anymore so leave him alone. Just a guy trying to make it in a tough business when he's the small guy.

Wish they would get the tuning done .i bet raising the shift points will make it a little faster.

I believe jay has the 4 door 60' record, so that would show what the converter did, and this was just a tester converter being that it was the first one ever made. The future ones should get a lot better with R&D

The fastest N/A 8sp 60' so far is a 1.72 with the Edge prototype 8sp converter. It cut a good 60', but didnt show much gain after that. We told them to hold off on converters until we can get some trans tuning to make full use of them. Dont think many guys want to spend $1000 to say they got a better 60', but not much change in the 1/4 like we see on the 5/6sp trucks.

Yep. Thad cut a 1.72 his first day out with the new converter, and cut a 1.73 on his 12.36 pass.

It's a lot like the converter in my old srt8, I picked up no MPH in the 1/8th or 1/4, picked up .25-.3 in my 60 and that was it, but good enough to go from 11.75 to a 11.42

HPTuners has it already for the LX cars and even tested in a few, but still is beta and only given to a select few. They haven't attempted on a Ram but if they have done this much its only a matter of time.

Wait, both companies have "cracked" the 8 speed tuning.? So perhaps soon we will have tuning available.

Not exactly... The LS systems are vastly different than these trucks, plus HP has been the go to tuning software on LS stuff for over a decade now. I use it on my 2007 Z06 and it's great.
