When do you guys change your oil?
At a set interval? 5k, 7.5k, 10k?
Or when the truck tell you its due for a oil change, the message on the dash?
If you change it at say, 7500 miles, do you get the dash message first and just ignore it and wait for when it gets to a certain mileage?

I drive about 17-23,000 miles a year. I've been using the truck to tell me when to change the oil for at least 10 yrs. Not really sure how long my change intervals are. Somewhere between 5-8,000 miles?? I only use synthetic oil. Mobil 1 on my last truck. Penzoil Platinum on the Ram. My next oil change I will be switching to the Ultra Platinum. Lately I've been using K&N oil filters. I used to use one of the higher end Fram filters, but the orange clashed with other colors in my front end. So I had to switch.

I change mine every 3 to 4000 miles. But you have to remember I'm old school and I have OCD. Lol

On my 2014 Sport my OLM always pushed my oil changes close to 10k, but I always changed it at 8k regardless. I always used Pennzoil Platinum and tried different oil filters (Mopar, Royal Purple, Fram Ultra). On my new 2016 Rebel, I'm going to use Pennzoil Ultra. Not decided on the oil filter yet. Might go back to the Royal Purple. Will still change the oil at 8k.

pup oil here and I have the dealer change it out when the evic shows approximately 50% life. My truck sees roughly 5000 miles per year and of those 4500 are highway @ 50-60mph. The oil has always looked good upon dumping so I am personally happy with my regime.

I change every 6 to 7 thousand even though the EVIC always says I can go much longer. I'm an old guy that cant break habit.

I change my oil when the truck tells me to

Same for me. I get to about 10-15% left on the meter and it gets me about 9k-10k miles or so. I use full synthetic ( mobil1, pennz ultra platinum are the two ive used P) and fram syntetic filer

This will be my first time actually keeping track of my mileage. K&N includes those handy windshield stickers. I'm at a little over 6,000 miles so far....

Full syn Amsoil every 12 000 - 13 000km, 7500ish miles. EVIC always got a bit left into her.

Does everyone dump their oil after one year regardless of their oil condition or mileage?

I go by miles, not time. In the ram I change it when the truck indicates low oil life, everything else is at 5000 miles. Every truck is different. If you use your truck for hauling in a dusty hot environment but don't put on a lot of miles or idle a lot, I would change it sooner. The miles on my ram are mostly all highway and it is stored in a heated building so not a lot of moisture intrusion or dust.

The manual says no longer than 10K miles, or 1 year. Even if you are using a good synthetic going 12K intervals, and your engine dies, they will not replace it under warranty because you failed to follow the required service intervals. I'm using a mopar filter in the 3.6 and pennzoil platinum. I go about 6 to 7k miles between oil changes.

My truck just rolled 15k miles...First oil change was at 5000, O.L.M. showed 36% remaining...Second change was at 10k. O.L.M. showed 45% remaining...Third change was done last week at 15k. O.L.M. showed 34% remaining. The last oil change was done after 6 snowplows in Dec which included atleast 4 plows where the truck was running non stop for 12 hours. Severe duty usage will drop the O.L.M. percentage quickly....Yes... I put the idiot stickers on the inside top D.S. corner as a reminder...PUP 0w40...Bosch 3334 filter...So Far no signs of the HEMI TICK... Not even when the actual air temp was -18* a few weeks ago...

Dealer did mine yesterday. Little under 8000 mi and high teens on life left. Used Mobil 1 and the Mopar filter as always.

The oil has never really gotten very dark near the change time and I believe FCA about intervals.
