Any decently priced performance ZF8HP TCs?

Hey guys,

So, my speed shop guy and I are looking for reasonably priced performance torque converter for my tuned ZF8HP transmission. He couldn't find any locally and all the ones I've seen online are like $2000 to get it shipped before they receive the core back and that is just too much.

Anyone make around a 3000 stall quality converter for these yet that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

Yea, Moe's doesn't have anything listed on the site for the 8-speed, but that paramount one looks like a possible solution; however, they don't list the stall RPM and also under the fitment tab it says "HP70 and HP90 (Hellcat) Transmission Applications", so would that even work with the ram 8-speed?

Word on the street is that you can add a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 OEM Torque Converter from our trucks and it will work.
I believe the stall on those is 2800 RPM or 3000RPM.

I guess its from a 2014-2017 SRT Grand Cherokee 8 Speed.

Call Bill. He builds the converters for the specific application. Hence it doesn't list the stall. He'll make it whatever you want. Or he can answer your questions about the Jeep converter.

Paramount Performance is your best option, but it is still a $2000 converter. They are building mine as we speak.

Damn, these should be much cheaper by now! The 8-speed has been out for several years now, manufactures are just dragging ass on this... :wtf:

Hell, you still can't get lockers for for the zf axle. Been on rams since 11.
