So I now have a 2012 & a 2013 1500 Hemi in the driveway. The cost of oil isn't going down anytime soon and I'm wondering if there is anywhere to buy oil and/or filters in bulk to save some money? It would be nice to have a supply on hand so that if one of the trucks was due for a change I could just go out to the garage and knock it out without needing to go shopping. I'm planning to start using Amsoil, I don't know about other areas but in checking around online it doesn't appear to be too easy to locate around here.

Amazon is usually my go to but if I search for Amsoil I get every brand on earth except for Amsoil to pop up. Just searched Jeg's as well as Summit and no Amsoil there either. I dunno, maybe my computer has a virus and it actually searches for everything except what I specifically type in.

Keep an eye out on rockauto. I have a Cummins and they had mobil1 filters for my truck for $3 each! I purchased 20 of them. All 20 of them where factory sealed and I've used a few of them already with my truck and friends trucks and no visual issues with them.

Agree, I'm setup so rock auto sends me closeout items for my specific vehicles. I bought 2 dozen wix filters for my hemi for like $18....wiper blades a buck each...etc etc

The Rock Auto close-outs are amazing! I rub my eyes and wonder...does that say $1.50 for my trucks air filter? $1 for wipers blades???? I end up ordering those and a few other things to save on shipping.

I buy Royal Purple filters because I don't want to be w/o them after the ones I've cut open after 14 months in the hemi. I don't save a ton of money, but they may be gonners soon because their parent company is way bankrupt. So I bought 8 RP filters for the hemi.

So could you give me the filter number so I can pick some up. After this next oil change at the dealership my free oil changes are over. And a good brand of synthetic oil for the Hemi would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Whetrick: Visit the Synthetic Oil Thread you will have to do some reading! But that never hurt anyone!
You will find out what a few of us have found out over the years to be really effective within the 5.7L.

Referring to oil brand & oil filters! As well as MANY other oils! Topics change almost on a daily basis!
Good thing is all the Drama is left out.

Is it taboo to use the same RP oil filter for multiple oil changes as long as you don't exceed their recommended 12K mile/12 month interval replacement?
Thinking 3K mile PYB changes.

If I was using a top shelf synthetic filter but wanted to run conventional oil I would do that and not even think twice.

Does anyone have a good outlet for purchasing the RP 10-48 filters in large lots--maybe a dozen or so?

I was thinking more of a group buy sort of thing. Amazon has them for $14 and some change.
