Anyone who has installed the vararam air grabber intake and done some mods or painting or swaps with the valve covers along with the intake? I am ordering the vararam air grabber intake in orange from Moe's tomorrow and have been looking at some SRT, 392 HEMI and the half valve/wire covers to get creative with to help do up my engine bay along with the intake.
So I'm looking for pictures of what others have done and looking for inspiration. Also any tips or things to watch out for with the valve covers.

This is for my 2014 Ram sport.

Thanks in advance

Yep. That's one of my favorites that I've seen. What valve covers are those? And the JBA headers you're running...are they long tubes or shorty?
Btw thanks for posting the pics

Really? are they still doing Sniff tests down there? My shop has changed to visual and code check protocol is all, no more sniff tests.. So after I talk to my buddy who has a shop that does smog and see if Long tubes bug him to pass my truck long tubes it is for me...

He never had a issue with my diesel that was everything but stock... most parts on it were "cali" illegal... drop a bottle of crown on his desk and get a smog lol.

They don't do the sniff test but you still have to pass the visual test. You can only have short tubes and the have to have a C.A.R.B. certification.

Unless you know a Smog guy and have served on the Fire dept with him for years.. It helps :peace:

as I mentioned above, my diesel which is visual only is far from CARB legal and was also built prior to the retro active law when CARB #'s were not required on diesel parts. either way it didn't bother him and passed the visual anyway. Damn CARB Nazis here in this state

Does anyone know which valve covers I'm supposed to use when going with the stock mopar covers? They have the full covers and they have the half covers. And I'm talking about the stock factory plastic covers like the hemi 392 ones and the hemi 5.7 half covers. The plastic ones.

This is what I did. I love the Air Grabber, but they don't make it for my gen III so I grafted one to fit with a custom snorkel air ram scoop I made using the "lost foam" method. It not only looks old school, but it's functional and I have already seen an increase in my gas mileage from just adding the snorkel scoop. It feeds air from the high pressure area in the front of my grill as you can see directly into the air cleaner. It detaches with "mini push latches", real cool, just push the buttons in and the scoop lifts right out and then "snaps" right back into place upon return. I'm going to add a functional hood with scoop later because the Air Grabber has been modified to seal to the bottom of my hood, I had to build the seals up in order for then to reach the hood, but now there's a seal ring around the bottom of the hood where you can see where it's sealing. Feedback is welcomed, suggestions?
