Ok guys got my american racing headers i went 1 3/4 catless with y pipe. From the guys who have installed these any tips or tricks. They came with no instructions but im assuming pretty straight forward. And im thinking my gaskets came pretty mangled so probally goin to get some 6.1 hemi gaskets.

The best part of headers is the custom tune :)

Its pretty straight forward. Do Driver side first :)

Reinstall the dipstick tube before you bolt the drivers side header on solid. The bolt on the tube might give you trouble.I unbolted the driver side motor mount and jacked the engine up to gain enough clearance to remove it,some guys are cutting the bracket instead, either way will get the bolt out of the way. Stock up on beer, lots of it will make the job easier, lol

When they don't work out, please let me know and I will take them off your hands. :naughty: I'm really interested in the process you're about to go through as I have been considering a set also.
Thanks,
Jay

There's no need to worry about the fitment.....they go right in.... no denting required....lol. Not sure about the oil dipstick on the 2500 but on the 1500 had to be modified or turned a bit but that's about it. Good luck! Also if you havnt installed them...I highly recommend getting the ceramic coated on the inside and out. Had a local coating company do my ARH and Y pipe inside and out for $300. Helps with heat and flow as well as protects them. My headers still look brand new after 2 years of use...I had them coated in silver.

Do dipstick tube issues on 2500 at all. I have them in and they went in fine. A little bit of contorting to get the locking nuts I bought snugged up, but install was straightforward.

they look good! should be straightforward.... I've installed a lot of headers, mostly on old musclecars. These were by far the easiest headers that ever went in.

Coating can range $250-350 depending on where you are.
