Stage 8 fasteners and a peek at the ceramic coating. I think they came out great.

Apparently there's been a few issues with the Stage 8's locking tab. I'm only reporting on what I've heard as I run them in mine with the tabs, but I guess there's been instantances where the tabs will start to rattle, and the knock sensors pick it up and pull timing. So the general theory lately is to use just the bolts, and leave the tab and circlip off. They're a ***** to install on all the bolts anyways, lol.

OK, I heard something like that as well. I will discuss with my installer. ****, I may just go with the bolts from ARH.

Yeah well I didn't install the stage8 too and used the one provided by ARH based on the same findings and that it's almost impossible to install the clip for some bolts.

I didn't bother putting the clips on mine based on that feedback. I did run the motor a couple times to full temp and let it cool. Retorqued each bolt and was able to get another quarter turn on average for each bolt.

Quite the compliment! thank you! I will fall more in love with it when it's paid off!!!!! If only I could stop adding mods ;-) Once the weather is better I plan to get some updated pics with the new lights.

Update. Shop told me I had only 2 broken bolts, and that they should have headers installed tomorrow. I am itching to get behind the wheel!

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD. What have I done? This truck is completely awesome. Here are a few pics and a video that doesn't do it justice. Increased HP throughout the powerband, and it woke up my Magnaflow CAT-back system. Damn good thing I dynamatted the **** outta the cab. This beast is LOUD when I punch it. When the weather clears, I will detail her.

Back in the shop after a couple hundred miles to have the headers retorqued. Here's a few pics after I gave her a bath. Notice the hose clamps unattached on the right side (and the hoses held up by zipties)? Good thing I really inspected the engine bay post-install. The hoses were just sitting on the headers and melting. The shop said they would replace the clamps and the hose. Meanwhile, I have to drive around like this for a few days LOL.

Cold starts are loud but not crazy, and it is ridiculously responsive off the line. I cannot keep my foot off the gas now. I am thinking about getting it Dyno'd.
