I wonder if that is just because of the shift point problems that the 11's are struggling with right now? With 3.55's your truck isnt going to pull as hard at lower rpms, but it should be pretty strong on the highway.

You will feel better throttle response with the 85mm tb than with the intake, but the intake is going to help more at higher rpms. Overall gains are even better when you combine the 2 together.
Advice to live-by I'm sure.
Now I've got to save my pennies for an order from Moe's.

Backed up by datalogs and HF himself. i had him on the phone while conducting the test because i had anticipated great gains but did not see what i expected.
I have 3.55 gears and he suspect that is why i am not seeing gains as others are.

My 0 to 60 times were in the low 7s i ran HF tunes and the canned tune back to back. So I didnt see any difference. My best 0 to 60 time was 6.52 with canned tune but the temp was about 20 degrees cooler.
Keep in mind with the slower 7 sec times that was strictly standstill, mash the throttle so no power braking to get rpms up first. I did that to maintain consistency between canned tune and HF tunes.

this is why im trying to figure out if id notice those mods

So right now I've got exhaust, intake and tune (super chips now, ordering a trinity from hemifever tonight) so what should I do first headers or TB and what size? Plans are to add some nitrous before I jump into the cam waters and eventually a supercharger.

Headers are going ot show more of a gain across the rpm band than the TB will. I know that longtubes are much more expensive than shorties, but with your planned future mods, the longtubes are the way to go. You are going to be limiting yourself with shorties once you add the blower and nitrous.

Well then I guess I'll start saving my pennies for a set it LT's and add the TB later. Aren't there some slightly more affordable ones coming out soon?

JBA is supposed to be coming out with some in about 2-3 months. Between JBA and ARH, I would rather save longer and go with the ARH's though. Their quality is much nicer than JBA's, and theirs is a complete bolton kit that includes gaskets, bolts, all stainless clamps, and o2 sensor extensions.

I just ordered my DS Trinity, I've got K&N CIA, magnaflow Y-pipe, Flowmaster 40series and resonator delete. 85mm or 87mm TB?

If you plan to add headers down the road, then I would go with the 87mm. If you are done modding, then the 85mm is your best bet.
