We need to know more about your truck. 6sp or 8sp transmission. What gears do you have? Are you a 2dr or 4dr?

Do you have any other mods, or is the truck stock?

You are just 3.92 gears and headers away from what I would consider an almost perfect setup for our HPS cam. It has great street manners and good tq in the low-mid range. It's also in the fastest N/A 8sp truck, so it will hold its own at the track as well.

1 of our 8sp customers that is running the HPS cam has just switched back from 3.92's to 3.21's, so I am curious to see how it responds at the track. Unfortunately, I wont have results on that for a few months.

I don't recommend swapping cams due to cost for gains, but if you're in there for lifters, a Greene Racing cam or the 214/218 Modern Muscle will be fine. The latter did 381 whp in a 5.7 LX car with bolt ons through 3.09 gears. In a 8 spd truck I'd expect this to be closer to 400 whp because of the 8 speed.

I just found out that the 6.4 cam is only 81$ !! I think im going to do that first then when i do more mods i'll change it (by that time maybe moes will have more cams and people try out more stuff ) and i might put new lifters with but i'm not sure

The 6.4 cam is not ideal for what you have now. You are better off staying with the 5.7 cam until you are ready to step into an actual performance cam.

I have a 2012 Ram 1500 with exhaust, headers, CAI and Diablosport Intune with Hemifever tune. What's a good can for that? Still a daily driver.

In all honesty, with the VVT cams being so expensive, there are much better upgrades you can buy that will give you a better gain for the money. I would also go with custom tuning, longtube headers, gears, and tq converter before messing with the cam.

Our HPS cam as designed for the guys that drive there trucks everyday on the street, yet still want to play around and race as well. It has great tq and mid range power, and still runs strong up to about 6200 rpm. Having said that, I would still consider the tuning, longtubes, gears, and converter first though as they will give more bang for your buck.
