Borla universal muffler???

Does anyone know or have you heard of anyone just using one of Borla's universal mufflers. Particularly this one: https://www.borla.com/products/tran..._notched__specialty_muffler_part__400499.html

But, man they sure are proud of it!!! I've inquired about this on another forum, but I've yet to get any responses. I guess those who run Borla get the cat back. I just figured I'd just get a muffler.

I had a Borla cat back on my 2012 Mustang GT and OMG!!! The sound was like pure music to my ears! Also, has a Borla cat back on a 1996 Trans Am back in the late '90's. So I've had awesome experiences with Borla!

I have the Borla universal 350 crate motor ATAK series one on my truck. I'll get a sound clip to post up tomorrow.

My Exhaust: FlowTech headers-Stock Cats-Stock Y for now-Borla 350 ATAK muffler with turndown dumped right before rear axle. I am going to have a resonated 2.25-3.5" round tip added to deepen the tone a bit.

It is not bad at all cruising, but it is ungodly loud when you get on it. Sounds like an all out drag car

and I love it.

I'm curious myself. I've got the Borla S Type catback on my 16 GT and it sounds pretty awesome. I was looking at the Borla catback for my Ram but it's $900. Thought having a Borla muffler welded in might be a good compromise.

How does that muffler fit? Isn't it inlet/outlet instead inlet/ outlet-outlet? I thought the RAM exhaust was 3" inlet and dual 2.5" outlet.

None of the crate motor mufflers I saw on their website were the correct configuration. I must be missing something...obviously.

I had an XR-1 muffler on my truck and loved it. Single 3" pipe dumped behind the rear axle. I evenutally had to swap it out when had our new baby. I plan on going back to it once he gets older.

i know one guy that used a borla on a big horn. he felt the drone was too loud and switched to corsa.

I loved the Borla ProXS muffler on my 2014. When my driveshaft let go, it punched a hole in the muffler, so I decided to give the XR1 a try this time around. I regret it. The ProXS had a much better tone. I will be getting rid of the XR1 and going back to a ProXS.

Same one I have now installed on my truck and after 30,000 miles I want something just a bit louder Makes for a very quiet highway ride for sure.

My configuration is early 2009. Single and single out. Fits mine fine but those with duel would have to switch it to 2 1/4 inch and single out.

Getting my Borla 40349 proxs put on tomorrow morning. I had the same muffler on my 2011 Silverado and loved it, so I figured I would get it on my Ram.
